Wow, time is really rolling. Coming near the end of my last weeks of Illustration at Sheridan.
As you probably know already, all 4th year students are prepping for their grad show now...extremely busy and stressful time. Though I know its gonna be great and everything will work out!
Anyways, here is an evite...be sure to come out and see if you're in the area. Its going to be an awesome show.
April 24-25.

I also just realized today that I'll be leaving for Japan in less than a month (May 6th) to study at Osaka University for an exchange program and to sightsee a bit...its going to be real busy in the next little while!

Busy time and Rogers Interview
First off, Happy new year everyone.
2007 passed by so fast. Can't believe its already 2008. Lots of new plans in this new year. Lots of work i want to get done and new things i want to try out. I don't really have any special new years resolution, but to work harder and keep drawing and painting.
I am currently working on my personal portfolio website, hopefully i can have it up by monday or latest tuesday morning. At least a simple layout and a few pieces of work on the website.
I am also excited and happy to say that I recently received a call from Rogers Television, whom invited me as a guest to go on their show called 'Daytime' on January 8th, this upcoming Tuesday!
They told me they got my card when i was at the Heroes Painting even in the summer. So they want me to maybe do a demo to teach the hosts some painting and perhaps and interview to talk about new work and the upcoming events. Exciting stuff, hopefully I don't make stupid mistakes, haha.
Again, the show is called Daytime and will air on January 8th at 11am, then a rerun on 4pm, and then again on 11pm.
Rogers channel is channel # 63 for me. But that might be different depending on where you live.
Hope everyone had a great holiday and a great and exciting new year.
I will update with new work soon. XD

Angela Bury?
Here is a new piece I worked on recently for an upcoming group show at the Labyrinth Store in Toronto. I had to take an original old vinyl record album cover and paint over it (as you can see in the before image posted here). It was fun working on this piece, just a simple piece to paint and relax. Had fun playing around with inks and textures.
The group show is called 'Vinyl Graffiti' which will happen sometime in January featuring about 30 artists. Some artists who are taking part in this so far includes Harvey Chan, Jack Shepherd, Hyein Lee, and Elise Trinh. Actually Elise just posted hers up on her blog as well i think, she did a really nice piece so go check it out too.
Random, I was at the movie theatre the other day to check out 'Enchanted' and noticed the movie 'Sweeney Todd'? is apparently coming out i think, now I wonder if I just painted over a potential valuable album cover. Haha
Done with Acrylics and India Ink
Before: (The Sweeney Todd Cover)
After: (The finished painting)

Super awesome event and great turn out. There were lots of things to paint on..paints and palettes were supplied........lots of artists...bar was opened...how cool can it be. haha
There were also lots of industry professional guests like gary taxali, anita kunz, jon todd, etc. lots of the illustration faculty like joe morse, kathryn adams, thom sevalrud, marco cibola, the list goes on...
